Receiver won’t exit straight mode want to change back to 7 channel stereo RX-A1000 model pushed straight button several times. Help please
In general, there are a few reasons why this could happen. You can check that your audio source is NOT set to PCM, choose Dolby Digital instead. For example, a source device could be a Fire Stick, and the fire stick has settings for audio that include PCM Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus. I believe the default is PCM and if the original sound is Stereo only, then STRAIGHT will not process the sound.. The format for Dolby Digital can allow the receiver to process the audio for whatever dsp sound setting you want such as 7 channel stereo. There are other scenarios but your question is vague.
