Configuring the network settings

Checking the network information of the unit

Displays the network information of the unit.
Setup menu
“Network” > “Information”
Status The connection status of the NETWORK jack
Connection Connection method
SSID The access point to which the unit is connected
MusicCast Network Readiness or not for the MusicCast Network
MAC Address (Ethernet)
MAC address
MAC Address (Wi-Fi)
IP Address IP address
Subnet Mask Subnet mask
Default Gateway The IP address of the default gateway
DNS Server (P) The IP address of the primary DNS server
DNS Server (S) The IP address of the secondary DNS server

Setting the network connection method (Wired/

Wireless)

Selects the network connection method.
Setup menu
“Network” > “Network Connection”
Choices
Wired
Select this option when you want to connect the unit to a network with
a commercially-available network cable.
Wireless(Wi-Fi)
Select this option when you want to connect the unit to a network via
the wireless router (access point).

Setting the network parameters automatically

(DHCP)

Set the network parameters (such as IP address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway)
automatically using a DHCP server.
Setup menu
“Network” > “IP Address” > “DHCP”

Off Does not use a DHCP server. Configure the network parameters manually.
On
Uses a DHCP server to automatically obtain the unit’s network parameters
(such as IP address).
