All dimensions show recommended spacing allowed, except for
closet door ventilation openings, which are the minimum required.
This washer has been tested for installation with spacing of 0"
(0 mm) clearance on the sides. Consider allowing more space for
ease of installation and servicing, and spacing for companion
appliances and clearances for walls, doors, and floor moldings.
Add spacing of 1" (25 mm) on all sides of washer to reduce noise
transfer. If a closet door or louvered door is installed, top and
bottom air openings in door are required.
*For additional details (or information) specific to your model, refer
to your Quick Start Guide.

must be at least 39" (990 mm) high; install no higher than 96"

I went to pull out my afgan/blanket after a supposed cycle and it was completely wet. How do I just put a spin cycle on without going through a wash cycle again?

Right now I am very disappointed in this machine. I am having the same problem and its not a month old. It has done this at least 4 times. When I call Whirlpool about it - no answer. I'm also disappointed that there is not really a true manual for this machine. '

Just installed washer and cannot get it to start. We turn on power, then hold to start as instructed. It clicks 5-6 times, then does nothing. One time, it clicked, then flowed water for about 6 seconds, then clicked 6 times again and stopped. The “sense” light then remains on.

I purchased the WTW5057LW washing machine. It has no fabric softener dispenser. Instructions suggest using a downy ball. However, the downy ball instructions say they will not work with an HE washing machine. There appears to be no convenient way to add softener. What does the fabric softener setting do and how do we put in softener? Thanks, in advance, for your response

Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Whirlpool WTW5057LW below.

What temperature should I use for my laundry?

The washing label of your garment shows the recommended washing temperature.

Do I need to use an anti-scaling agent for my washing machine?

It is not necessary to use an anti-scaling agent. Scale deposits can be prevented by limiting washing at high temperatures and using the recommended amount of detergent per wash.

How do I prevent my washing machine from smelling?

Unpleasant odours can be avoided by occasionally washing at 60 degrees and using the recommended amount of detergent per wash.

Why is the washing machine not starting?

Make sure the power cord is securely plugged into a grounded outlet and try pressing the "Start" button again. Also, ensure that the lid is closed properly, as the machine will not start if the lid is open.

Why is the water not filling the machine?

Check that the water supply valves are fully open. Additionally, inspect the water inlet hoses for any kinks or clogs that might be blocking water flow. It's recommended to use a cold water supply for optimal performance.

How do I adjust the water level for different load sizes?

To adjust the water level, simply rotate the "Load Size" selector knob to the desired setting. Larger load sizes may require higher water levels, while smaller loads can be washed with lower water levels. Remember to distribute the clothes evenly in the drum.

Why is the washing machine not draining properly?

First, ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or blocked. If the drain hose is clear, check if the drain pump filter is clogged with lint or debris. Clean the filter if necessary. Additionally, verify that the drain hose is installed correctly at the appropriate height, as incorrect positioning may impact draining.

How do I resolve excessive vibration during the spin cycle?

Check if the washer is level by adjusting the feet underneath. Make sure all four feet are in firm contact with the floor. Uneven load distribution can also cause excessive vibration, so try redistributing clothes inside the drum. Finally, avoid overloading the machine, as this can disrupt balance and result in increased vibration.
