Same problem. The gray plastic piece keeps the cam inside from slipping around. Supposedly this all happens because you have work down the cam. Replacement part: WPW10470155 Whirlpool Refrigerator Door Closing Cam However there’s no replacement for the grey plastic part. You might have to stick a metal washer on top of the cam to get it to stop wiggling around. I just ordered the part.

To address the issue of the cooling element at the back being covered in frost and the refrigerator producing a loud humming noise, follow these steps: 1. Check the temperature settings: Make sure that the temperature settings are appropriate for the refrigerator. The recommended temperature for the refrigerator compartment is between 35°F and 38°F (2°C and 3°C). 2. Clear the frost buildup: If the cooling element at the back is covered in frost, it may be affecting the refrigerator's performance. Turn off the refrigerator and allow the frost to melt naturally. Once the frost has melted, clean the cooling element with a soft cloth or sponge. 3. Check the door seals: Inspect the door seals for any damage or gaps. Damaged or faulty door seals can lead to frost buildup and inefficient cooling. If you notice any issues with the door seals, contact customer service for assistance. 4. Ensure proper ventilation: Make sure that the refrigerator has enough space around it for proper ventilation. Clear any obstructions that may be blocking the airflow to the cooling element. 5. Check for any loose components: A loud humming noise could be caused by loose components or vibrations. Carefully inspect the refrigerator for any loose parts or panels. If you find any, tighten or secure them as necessary. 6. Level the refrigerator: Make sure that the refrigerator is level and stable. Use a level tool to check if the refrigerator is balanced. If it is not level, adjust the leveling feet or wheels to achieve stability.

The defrost cycle is not activating. There is ice build up around the fan hidden in the back of the freezer compartment, and the rotating fan is hitting this ice build up, causing the noise. I just had this happen on mine and I'm trying to figure out the cause and fix. Could be fuse, heater, defrost timer, thermostat, or control board.

To find where to put the produce preserver and the air filter in the Whirlpool WRF560SEHZ refrigerator, follow these steps: 1. Air Filter: - The disposable air filter should be replaced every 6 months or when the status indicator air filter icon turns on and starts flashing when the refrigerator door is opened. - Remove the used air filter by squeezing in on the side tabs. - Install the new air filter and status indicator using the instructions provided. 2. Produce Preserver: - Your refrigerator's accessory packet includes a Produce Preserver, which should be installed prior to use. - The Produce Preserver absorbs ethylene, allowing the ripening process of many produce items to slow down and stay fresh longer. - Install the Produce Preserver according to the instructions provided. - There are two styles for installing the Produce Preserver: - Style 1 (Located Inside the Refrigerator): - Find the Produce Preserver housing inside the refrigerator. - Lift up on the housing to remove it from the mounting tab. - Open the housing by pulling up and out on the back of the top of the housing. - Place the Produce Preserver pouches into the housing and snap the housing back together. - Adhere the Produce Preserver housing to the back wall of the crisper drawer according to the instructions included in the package. - Place the housing back on the mounting tab. - Style 2 (Located in Crisper or Refrigerator Drawers): - Wash the interior of a drawer with a solution of mild dish soap and warm water, and dry thoroughly. - Find the package containing the Produce Preserver inside the refrigerator and install the Produce Preserver into the drawer according to the instructions provided. - Install the status indicator by placing it facedown on a firm, flat surface and applying pressure to the bubble on the back of the indicator until it pops. - Slide open the cap on the Produce Preserver housing and place the indicator in the top of the housing, facing outward. - Slide the cap closed and check that the indicator is visible through the rectangular hole in the cap.

The filters for the Whirlpool WRF560SEHZ refrigerator are located in two different styles. Style 1 - Located on the left side at the bottom of the refrigerator: 1. Push on the water filter door located in the lower left corner of the refrigerator to open it. 2. Rotate the water filter and turn it counterclockwise by 90 degrees to unlock it. 3. Remove the filter from the compartment. 4. Remove the water filter cap. 5. Install the water filter cap on the new filter, aligning the arrows and the grooves correctly. 6. Place the filter back into the compartment. 7. Rotate the water filter and turn it clockwise by 90 degrees to lock it in place and align the arrows. 8. Close the water filter door. Style 2 - Located on the right side at the top of the refrigerator: 1. Identify the accessories packet inside the refrigerator and remove the water filter. 2. Take the water filter out of its packaging and remove the cover from the O-rings. Make sure the O-rings are still in place after the cover is removed.

My icemaker was not connected the day my refrigerator was installed. When I connected the water source ,the next day it didn't make ice. I found a notice on the icemaker saying it should be turned off if water supply is not connected immediately, but it wasn't. (It was installed by the place I purchased it). What to do?

The refrigerator is not cooling, while the freezer is still working. I have replaced the fridge filter hoping that might work, but unfortunately it did not. Any ideas?

@Susan it means the fan motar that's is supposed to pump cold air from the freezer to the refrigerator is busted. I have the same problem. I'm in the middle of that repair myself, because the technician wanted $550 to replace a $50 part.
