A microwave lasts an average of 2000 hours before it loses power.
Yes. Turning the microwave on empty can result in damage to the microwave. When the microwave is empty, the microwaves are not absorbed by the food.
Reheating food in the microwave is not bad for your health.
It is not wise to put peeled food in the microwave. The heat cannot escape through the skin, causing the food to explode.
Make sure you have set the cooking time and power level correctly. Microwaves use a magnetron to produce heat, so if it's not heating, there might be an issue with the magnetron that needs to be checked by a technician.
To defrost food, place it on a microwave-safe dish and use the defrost function by entering the weight of the food. The microwave will automatically calculate the defrost time based on the weight. Remember to rotate and turn over the food during the process to ensure even defrosting.
If your microwave is making loud noises during operation, it could be due to improper placement of the turntable or an unbalanced load. Check that the turntable is correctly positioned and ensure your food or container is evenly distributed in the microwave.
To prevent food splatters, cover the dishes or containers with a microwave-safe lid or microwave-safe plastic wrap. You can also use a microwave-safe splatter guard to minimize mess. Additionally, choose appropriate power levels and cooking times to avoid excessive boiling or bubbling.
If your microwave displays an error code, try unplugging it from the power source for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. If the error persists, consult the Whirlpool customer support or refer to the troubleshooting section of the manual for specific error code explanations and solutions.
