Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Westinghouse WSF6602XA below.
In the case of a smelly dishwasher, you can take the following steps: - Clean the filters - Clean the spray arms - Clean the door rubbers - Run a hot wash program - Run an empty machine with a dishwasher cleaner
It is not recommended to rinse dirty dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. For the life cycle of the machine, it is better to put everything dirty in the dishwasher. The grease on the dirty dishes is the lubrication for the pump in the machine.
The average amount used is about 25 grams of dishwashing detergent. It is recommended to follow the advice on the packaging.
Each dishwasher has a separate compartment for softening salt. It opens when you turn the knob on the compartment. The softening salt can then be poured into the compartment by means of a funnel.
Firstly, ensure that the dishwasher is properly plugged into a working power outlet. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped or if there is a blown fuse in your home's electrical panel. If everything seems fine, the dishwasher might have a control panel issue, and it is recommended to contact a professional technician for further assistance.
To optimize the cleaning performance, it is important to load the dishes correctly. Place large items such as pots and pans on the bottom rack, ensuring they do not block the spray arms. Place plates and bowls facing inward on the bottom rack, leaving enough space for water and detergent to circulate. Smaller items like glasses, cups, and utensils should be placed securely in the upper rack, with sharp objects facing downwards for safety.
If the dishwasher is not cleaning your dishes properly, first check if the spray arms are not clogged by food debris. Ensure that water is freely able to circulate by not overcrowding the dishes and avoiding blocking the spray arms with large items. Additionally, check the filter at the bottom of the dishwasher for any debris or blockages. Cleaning or replacing the filter regularly helps maintain optimal cleaning performance.
Unfortunately, the Westinghouse WSF6602XA dishwasher does not have a user-adjustable water temperature setting. It automatically heats the water to a specific temperature during the wash cycles to ensure effective cleaning and sanitization. However, it is important to ensure that your hot water supply to the dishwasher is set to a suitable temperature, generally around 120°F (49°C), to support the dishwasher's cleaning process.
Noisy operation can be due to various factors. Start by checking if any items, such as utensils or small objects, have fallen into the dishwasher's bottom or spray arms and remove them. Ensure that the dishwasher is properly leveled, as an uneven installation can contribute to excess noise. If the issue persists, it could indicate a problem with the motor, pump, or other internal components, and it is recommended to seek professional assistance to diagnose and resolve the issue.

Question and answer
Number of questions: 4My WSF6602XA dishwasher has been intermittantly tripping the circuit breaker in the house power board. The machine was purchased in September 2021 and has run perfectly until recently. First time it happened, the door was open and the machine was being loaded. This happened three times subsequently. Later, once when cycle was completed and before opening the door the breaker was tripped. Last week, in the middle of the cycle, the breaker tripped again leaving the machine full of water. Do you have any clues as to possible causes?
We have a Westinghouse dishwasher WSF6602XA. It is not working. Meaning, we select a program and start it. The machine will run for about 20 seconds and then stop and nothing happens. The lights on the control panel do not change at all to indicate a problem. You have to reset the program to get the machine to do anything.
