To select a drying program on the Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer, follow these steps: 1. Turn the Program Selector knob to choose the drying program you want. The available drying programs are listed in the manual, such as Extra Cottons Dry, Iron Cottons Dry, Extra Mixed Dry, etc. 2. For best results, it is recommended to sort out your laundry before loading it into the dryer. This helps ensure that the appropriate drying program is selected for each type of fabric. 3. Load your dryer loosely until it is no more than two-thirds full. It is important to allow enough space for the clothes to tumble freely during the drying process. 4. Close the dryer door completely. The dryer will not operate unless the door is fully closed. 5. Avoid selecting the "Extra Dry" option for delicate fabrics such as polyester, as shrinking may occur. Refer to the program guide in the manual for specific recommendations for different fabric types. By following these steps, you will be able to select the desired drying program on the Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer.
If the control panel on your Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer is not responding, you can try the following steps: 1. Check if the dryer is properly connected to a power source. Ensure that the power cord is securely plugged into an electrical outlet. 2. Make sure that the dryer door is fully closed. The dryer will not operate if the door is not closed properly. 3. Verify that the control panel is not locked. Some dryers have a control lock feature to prevent accidental changes. Look for a lock symbol on the control panel and follow the instructions in the manual to unlock it. 4. If the control panel still does not respond, try resetting the dryer. Unplug the dryer from the power source for a few minutes, then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues with the control panel. 5. If none of the above steps work, there may be a malfunction with the control panel. In this case, it is recommended to contact the Westinghouse customer support for further assistance. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot the issue of a non-responsive control panel on your Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer.
The manual for the Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer does not provide specific information about the duration of each phase of the drying cycle. However, it mentions that the drying time can be affected by various factors such as voltage fluctuations, room temperature, and humidity. It also suggests that clothes will dry more slowly on cool or humid days. To optimize the drying process, the manual recommends sorting the load according to fabric type and avoiding overloading the dryer. It also advises against selecting the "Extra Dry" option for delicate fabrics like polyester to prevent shrinking. While the manual does not provide exact time durations for each phase of the drying cycle, it does offer user-selectable time drying programs of 30, 60, 90, 120, and 150 minutes. These programs allow users to customize the drying time based on their needs. For more precise information on the duration of each phase of the drying cycle, it is recommended to contact Westinghouse customer support or refer to the specific model's technical specifications.
If your Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer is not drying clothes properly, you can try the following steps: 1. Check if the clothes are loaded properly. Make sure not to overload the dryer and leave enough space for the clothes to tumble freely. Overloading can reduce efficiency and increase drying time. 2. Sort the laundry according to fabric type. Heavy items like towels and flannelette sheets may take longer to dry than lighter fabrics like poly/cotton shirts and sheets. This will help optimize the drying process. 3. Ensure that the clothes are not dripping wet or have sand and grit on them before loading them into the dryer. Wet clothes should be spun in the washing machine to remove excess water. 4. Select the appropriate drying program based on the fabric type and desired dryness level. The manual provides a program guide with recommended programs for different fabric types. 5. If individual items are still damp after drying, you can set a 30-minute post-drying time. This is particularly useful for multilayered items like collars and pockets. 6. Consider external factors that can affect drying time, such as voltage fluctuations, room temperature, and humidity. Clothes may dry more slowly on cool or humid days. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot and improve the drying performance of your Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer.
If the alarm indicator on your Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer is blinking, you can try the following steps: 1. Check if the dryer door is fully closed. The dryer will not start if the door is not closed properly. If the door is not closed, you may hear 6 beeps followed by the alarm indicator blinking 4 times. 2. Ensure that the Program Selector knob is set to a drying program. Turn the knob to choose a drying program based on your needs. Refer to the program guide in the manual for assistance in selecting the right program. 3. If the dryer is in the anticrease phase, the alarm indicator may blink. The anticrease cycle is designed to help prevent creases from forming in the clothes after the normal drying cycle has ended. The indicator will blink during the anticrease phase, which lasts for approximately 1 hour. 4. If the alarm indicator continues to blink and none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be a malfunction with the dryer. In this case, it is recommended to contact Westinghouse customer support for further assistance. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot the issue of a blinking alarm indicator on your Westinghouse WDV656N3WB dryer.

Number of questions: 2I purchased this dryer a few months ago and I am still confused on how to select the drying options with the dial, like how long are the cycles and how do you just select for example a 30 minute cycle at half heat?
How long are the various cycles. If I put a medium load in say “cupboard” does it sense when it’s dry and stop automatically? I usually only use the dryer for a last min fluff up.
