As an adult, it is recommended to do moderately intensive exercise for at least 2.5 hours per week. Preferably spread over several days.
As a rule of thumb for your maximum heart rate, you can use 220 minus your age.
First, ensure that the hometrainer is placed on a stable surface. Then, connect the power adapter and attach the bike to the trainer using the quick-release system. Finally, adjust the resistance unit and make sure the bike is properly positioned.
You can connect your devices, such as a smartphone or tablet, to the hometrainer via Bluetooth or ANT+. Open the Tacx app or any compatible training software, and follow the instructions to establish the connection and start tracking your data.
To adjust the resistance level, you can either use the handlebar resistance lever or control it through the connected training software. Shift to a higher gear for increased resistance and vice versa for lower resistance.
If you hear any unusual noise, first check that the bike is securely attached to the trainer and all components are properly tightened. Also, ensure that the bike's chain and gears are clean and well-lubricated. If the noise persists, contact Tacx customer support for further assistance.
Performing a calibration is important to ensure accurate power readings. To calibrate, access the settings menu on the connected training software or app. Follow the provided instructions to initiate the calibration process, and make sure to follow the specified warm-up time and power output requirements.
