What is Bluetooth wireless technology? Bluetooth wir eless technology is a short-range wir eless technology that enables
wireless da ta communica tion between digital devices, such as a computer and
digital camer a. Bluetooth wireless te chnology operates within a r ange of about 10m
(about 30ft).
Connecting two devic es as necessary is common, but some devices can be
connected t o multiple devices at the same time.
Y ou do not need to use a cable f or connection, nor is it ne cessary for the devic es to
face one ano ther , such is the case with infrared te chnology . F or example, you can
use such a device in a bag or pocke t.
Bluetooth standar d is an international standard supported by thousands of
companies all over the world, and employed by various companies worldwide.
Maximum communication range Maximum communication r ange may shorten under the following conditions.
There is an obstacle such as a person, metal, or wall between this devic e and the
Bluetooth devic e.
A wireless LAN device is in use near this devic e.
A microwave oven is in use near the device .
A device that generat es electromagnetic radiation is in use near this devic e.
Interference from other devices Because Bluetoo th devices and wireless LAN (IEEE802. 11b/g/n) use the same
frequency , microwave interferenc e may occur and resulting in communication spe ed
deterior ation, noise, or in valid connection if this devic e is used near a wireless LAN
device. In such a case, perform the following.
Use this device at least 10 m (about 30 ft) away from the wir eless LAN device.
If this device is used within 10 m (about 30 ft) of a wireless LAN devic e, turn off
the wireless LAN devic e.
Interference to other devices Microwaves emitting fr om a Bluetooth device may affect the oper ation of devices,
such as electronic medic al equipment. Turn off this devic e and other Bluetoo th
devices in the following loc ations, as it may cause an accident.
in a hospital, tr ain, airplane, or a gas station where inflammable gas is pr esent
near automatic doors or a fire alarm
Notes
T o be able to use the Bluetooth function, the Bluetooth devic e to be connected
requir es the same profile as the system’ s.
Note also that even if the same pr ofile exists, devic es may var y in function
depending on their specifications.
Due to the charact eristic of Bluetooth wir eless technology , the sound played on
this device is slightly delayed fr om the sound played on the Bluetooth devic e
during talking on the telephone or listening to the music.
This device supports security capabilities that c omply with the Bluetooth standard
to provide a secur e connection when the Bluetooth wir eless technology is used,
but security may not be enough depending on the setting. Be careful when
communicating using Blue tooth wireless technology .
W e do not take any r esponsibility for the leakage of information during Bluetoo th
communication.

A device featuring the Blue tooth function is required t o conform t o the Bluetooth
standard specified by Blue tooth SIG, and be authenticated. Even if the connect ed
device conf orms to the above mentioned Bluetooth standard, some devices may
not be connect ed or work corr ectly , depending on the f eatures or specific ations of
the device.
Communica tion may be interrupted depending on the Blue tooth device
connected with this devic e, the c ommunication environment or the usage
environment.
