Troubleshooting The follo wing checklis t will help you remedy
proble ms you ma y enco unte r with you r unit.
Befor e goin g throug h the chec klist belo w , chec k
the conn ection and ope ratin g proc edures .
Power No power is being supplied to the unit.
• The power co nnecti on has not been m ade
correc tly .
t Che ck the con nect ion. If everythi ng is in
orde r , chec k the fus e.
• The ca r does not have an A CC posi tion.
t Inser t a disc to turn on the un it.
Picture There is no picture/picture noise appear s.
• A connec tion has no t been made corr ectly .
• Check the connectio n to the connected
equipment, and se t the input selector of the
equipm ent to the sour ce cor respon ding to
this unit .
• The dis c is dirty , flawed, or deterior ated.
• The u nit is instal led at an ang le of more than
20°.
• The un it is not ins talle d in a stur dy part of
the ca r .
• The monitor is connected to the FR ONT
A UDIO/VIDEO OUT , and the parking c ord
(Light gr een) is not conn ecte d to the parking
brake switch cord, o r the parking brake is not
applied.
Picture does n ot fit in the screen.
The aspect ra tion is f ixed on the D VD.
Sound There i s no sou nd/soun d skips/so und
cracks.
• A connec tion has not b een made corr ectly .
• Check the connectio n to the connected

“ON” (page 29).
The sound v olume is low .
Set “ A UDIO A TT” in “ A UDIO SETUP” to
“OFF ” (pag e 29).
Operation The remot e does not functio n.
• There are obst acle s betw een the re mot e and
the unit, or the remote r eceptor .
• The dist ance b etwee n the c ard rem ote
com m and er a nd the u nit is to o far.
• The card remo te commander is not pointed
at the remote sensor , or the receptor on the
unit pr operly .
• The batteries in the card r emote commander
are we ak.
The unit doe s not respond.
t Press th e reset b utton.
The conten ts of the se ttings have b een
erased.
• The reset butt on is press ed.
• The bat tery ha s repl aced , or the p ower cord
is d isconn ecte d.
• The power con nect ion has no t been made
correc tly .
No beep sound when pressing buttons.
t Set “BEEP ” in “CUS TOM SETUP” t o
“ON” (page 28).
A disc cannot be loaded.
• Another disc is alr eady loa ded.
• T he ignition ke y switch of the car is set to the
OFF po sition.
The unit doe s not start pla ying.
• The disc i s inser ted upsi de down.
