Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Singer Tradition 2277 below.
Which size of needle you can best use depends on the thickness of the fabric you use. With a thick fabric you should use a thick needle. The packaging of your needle states for which substances your needle is suitable.
Generally, a sewing needle lasts about 7 to 9 hours.
There can be several causes for needle breakage: - Not using the right needle for the right fabric - The needle is set too low - The fabric is not properly guided - The bobbin case is not inserted correctly
Ensure that the correct needle type and size are being used for the fabric being sewn. Check if the needle is inserted properly and securely.
To adjust the tension, turn the tension control dial located on the front panel of the machine. Increase the tension for loose stitches and decrease it for tight stitches.
Check if the thread is correctly threaded through all the necessary guides, tension discs, and the needle. Confirm that the thread spool is positioned correctly and not tangled. The thread tension may also need adjustment.
Raise the presser foot lever to lift the presser foot. Then, press the release button located at the back of the presser foot to release it. Align the new presser foot with the slot and lower the presser foot lever to secure it.
Ensure that the machine is placed on a stable and level surface to reduce vibrations. Check if any loose screws or parts need tightening. Clean the machine regularly and oil it according to the manual's instructions to prevent excessive noise.

Number of questions: 89How do I get my needle back to the center of the foot? I have it on straight stitch but the needle is clear to the left side

To return the needle to the center of the foot on the Singer Tradition 2277 sewing machine, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the sewing machine and unplug it from the power source for safety. 2. Locate the stitch width dial on the front of the machine. It is usually labeled with numbers or symbols. 3. Turn the stitch width dial to the center position. This will align the needle in the center of the foot. 4. Turn on the sewing machine and test the needle position by selecting the straight stitch mode. The needle should now be positioned in the center.

The part in the picture should be fixed back in the same position where it was originally located.
This answer is automatically generatedDon't listen to the AI. This part cannot be reattached b/c it is made from cheap metal. It's time for a new machine.
How can I adjust the needle to the center of the presser foot? It is completely on the left side.

The AI is a moron. The teeth on the plastic gears that drive the zig-zag mechanism have been stripped. It will cost you more than you paid for the machine to get it fixed if you can even get a tech to look at it.
Just got this machine and was setting it up to use, first off winding the bobbin....followed the instructions and the bobbin became all tangled up with the thread....it's a mess, what did I do wrong??
What size needles are proper for the Singer 2277? How do I know what is best for thin filmy fabrics?
The automatic threader is stuck in the down position, how do I fix this?
What is width, length, tension setting for light cotton material. Have checcked needle, bobbin, tread pulls through needle freeling. Material jams ,puckers, won' make stichers properly. What is wrong and how to correct?
I have a brand new Singer Tradition 2277 and the second time I tried to use it the needle keeps hitting the bobbin case. I could understand if I’d been using it for a while. But it’s brand new. Only things I did were thread it and used straight stitches the whole time. I’ve tried new needle and checked position of bobbin case, which may be still off, that’s the only thing I can think of. Is there some adjustment I’m missing?
