CD-ROM Device Naming Convention In many install ation pro grams you will ha ve t o get a pr ogra m from t he CD-R OM
device. The prog ram ins tall ation s equence assumes t hat th e CD is dr ive d :\, h owever
t his i s n o t a lw ay s the ca se . The n ame o f the CD - R OM d r iv e is t h e let te r follo wi n g t h e
lette r assig n ed to y o ur last HDD. F or in sta nce , if you h ave o ne HD D with t w o
par tition s, the HDD is drive s C: a nd D: and t he CD-ROM dri ve is then dri ve E .
