The type of mic is a Rode Videomic Pro. What would cause static in recordings. Sometimes the mic picks up sound, and then the sound cuts out. You can hear static periodically in the recordings. If using a 9V battery but the wrong type of battery (Alkaline vs another type) could that cause the static etc.
