Why is my Polar M22 heart rate monitor not displaying my heart rate?

If your Polar M22 heart rate monitor is not displaying your heart rate, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Check the heart rate reception: Ensure that the wrist receiver is positioned correctly near the transmitter's Polar logo on your chest. If there is no heart rate reception for at least 5 minutes, the display may show "--". In this case, bring the wrist receiver closer to the transmitter to reestablish the heart rate reception. 2. Activate the backlight: Press the designated button to illuminate the display. This will make it easier to read the information, including your heart rate. 3. Adjust the sound settings: If you see the symbol "!" on the display, it means that an alarm sound will be heard with each heartbeat if you go above or below your target heart rate zone. You can also enable or disable the button sound. Adjust these settings according to your preference. To stop the heart rate measurement, press the START/STOP/OK button. If you want to exit the Measure mode completely, use the SCROLL UP or SCROLL DOWN buttons. If you hold the SCROLL DOWN button for 1.5 seconds, you can reset the stopwatch. Remember, if you forget to exit the heart rate measuring mode after stopping the stopwatch and removing the transmitter, the receiver will automatically switch to the Time of day mode within 5 minutes. By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue of your Polar M22 heart rate monitor not displaying your heart rate.

How do I replace the battery in the Polar M22 heart rate monitor?

To replace the battery in the Polar M22 heart rate monitor, follow these steps: 1. Press the RESET button on the watch with a pen tip. The display will become full of digits. 2. Press any of the four buttons once. The watch will enter the Time of Day display. 3. If you don't press any button within one minute after the reset, the watch will go into battery saving mode. 4. If the display is blank or fading, press the START/STOP/OK button twice to wake up the watch. It will enter the Time of Day display. 5. If the digits continue to fade when using the backlight, it may be a sign of a discharged battery. Have the batteries checked. 6. We recommend having the battery replacement done by an authorized Polar Service Center to ensure the warranty remains valid and to avoid any incorrect repair procedures. 7. After the battery replacement, the Polar Service Center will test the wrist receiver for water resistance and perform a full periodic check of the entire Polar Heart Rate Monitor.
