The wrench #5 on your Philips Saeco Syntia HD8837 coffee maker indicates a problem with the brew group. Here are the steps to correct it: 1. Turn off the machine by pressing the ON/OFF button and unplug it from the socket. 2. Open the service door and remove the coffee grounds drawer. 3. To remove the brew group, pull it by the handle and press the "PUSH" button. 4. Wash the brew group with lukewarm water, making sure to clean the upper filter as well. 5. Thoroughly wash and dry all the parts of the brew group. 6. Check that the two reference signs on the brew group match up. 7. The lever on the rear part of the brew group must be in contact with the base. Press the "PUSH" button to ensure the brew group is in the correct position. 8. Lubricate the brew group every 30 days or after approximately 500 brewing cycles using the supplied lubricant. Apply the lubricant evenly on both side guides. 9. Insert the brew group back into its seat until it locks into place without pressing the "PUSH" button. 10. Insert the coffee grounds drawer and close the service door.
