hello, this question is for my grandma’s phone. She wants to check her messages so she hits “ACCESS” under the screen that says there are voice mailS, specifically “Voice mail msg via phone co.” After you hit access, it says “Ask phone company for VM access #.” However, when you call 18002117262, if your phone is older than one year they will charge you a lot for the phone call, like ten bucks. How can I get the phone co. Access code and more importantly, why is it asking for this code years and years after she has been using the voicemail system with no problems?

The manual for the Panasonic KX-TGEA20 phone provides troubleshooting steps for when the phone displays "charging" but is not actually charging. Here are the steps: 1. Clean the ends of the battery and the charging contacts with a dry cloth. 2. Ensure that the batteries are fully charged. If the battery life seems shorter, clean the ends of the battery and the charging contacts, then recharge the batteries. 3. If the handset is not registered to the base unit, it may display "Please wait for 1 minute" when placed on the charger. Make sure the handset is registered to the base unit. 4. If all registered handsets start ringing when you attempt to register the handset to the base unit, press the M/N button again to stop the ringing and repeat the registration process. 5. Place the handset on the base unit or charger, even if the display shows "Please wait for 1 minute". 6. If you have recently replaced the rechargeable batteries, ensure that you have used the recommended Panasonic rechargeable batteries and that they are installed correctly. 7. Charge the batteries for approximately 7 hours. The display should show "Charging" during the charging process and "Fully Charged" when the batteries are fully charged.
