Greeting message When the unit answers a call, a greeting
message is played to callers.
Y ou can use either:
– your own greeting message
– a pre-recorded greeting message
Recording your greeting message 1

3 After a beep sounds, hold the handset about 20 cm away and
speak clearly into the m icrophone (2
minutes and 30 seconds max.).
4 Press O to stop recording. 5 {ic} Using a pre-recorded greeting message The unit provides 2 pre-recorded
greeting messages:
– If you erase or do not record your own
greeting message, the unit play s a
pre-recorded greeting asking callers
to leave a m essage.
– If the message rec ording time (page
45) is set to “Greeting Only ”,
callers’ messages are not recorded
and the unit plays a different pre-
recorded greeting m essage asking
callers to call again.
Resetting t o a pre-recorded g reeting
message
If you want to use a pre-rec orded
greeting message once you record your
own greeting m essage, you need t o
erase your own greeting message.
