Registering mailboxes Each SMS mailbox you wish to use must
be registered with BT T ext. There are
two ways you c an register a mailbox:
– Send an SMS m essage to another
person.
– Send the text message ‘REGISTER’
to destination number 00000.

L If you wish to send the message
to the other party’s mailbox, enter
the other party’s mailbox number
after the destination phone
number .
Example: The o ther party’s
phone number is 123456 a nd their
mailbox nu mber is 1.
Enter 1234561.
6 T o sav e the message, select “Ye s ”.

L T o c ancel sending, press {ic}.
Note:
L This unit supports SMS messages of
up to 612 characters, however , the
maximum number of char acters you
can send or rece ive may be limited by
your SMS serv ice provider/telephone
company . Contact your SMS service
provider/telephone company for
details.
L If your message contains over 160
characters, t he message is a long
message and “@@Long Text @@ ” is
displayed. Y our service provider/
telephone company may treat long
message s differently from other
messag es. Contact your s ervice
provider/telephone company for
details.
L If your phone is connected to a PBX,
store the PBX line access num ber
(page 39).
