Answering system The answering system can answer and
record calls for you when you are
unavailable to answer the phone. Y ou
can also record phone conversations
(page 16).
Import ant:
L Only 1 person can access the
answering system (listen to
messages, re cord a greeting
message, etc.) at a time.
L When callers leave messages, the
unit records the date and time of each
message. Make sure the date and
time have been set (page 13).
Memory capacity The total recording cap acity (including
your greeting message, caller
messages, and recorded conver sations)
is about 40 minutes. A maximum of 64
messages can be recorded.
Note:
L If message m emory becomes full:
– “Answer Sys. Full ” is shown
on the hands et display
– {6 } on the base unit flashes rapidly
Turning the answering system on/off Using the base unit Press {s } t o turn on/off the answering
system.

greeted by a greeting message.

greeting message, t he unit plays a pre-
recorded greeting message for callers
and asks them to leave messages. If the
message recording t ime (page 38) is set
to “Greeting Only ”, caller messages
will not be recorded and the unit will pl ay
