If a seco nd ca ll is rec eived whil e in
convers ation with the fi rst caller , a beep tone
will be he ard. Press {R} button to switch
between callers.

Note:
L If your unit is connected to a PBX (pri vate
branch ex change), press ing {R } can all ow
you to access cert ain featu res of your ho st
PBX such a s transfer ring an ex tension
call. Con sult your PBX deal er for det ails.

Paus e bu tto n (f or P BX/ long dis tance
service users)
A paus e is som etimes required whe n
making calls usin g a PBX or lon g dist ance
servi ce.
Example: If you ha ve to dia l {0 } before
dialling out side num bers ma nually , yo u will
probably paus e after d ialling {0 } unt il you
hear a dia l tone.
1 Press {0 }.
2 Press {R} . 3 Dial the ph one number , then press {C}
or {s} .
Note:
L Pressing {R } 1 tim e crea tes 1 pause .
Press {R} r epeatedly to create longer
paus es. T o change p ause le ngth, see
page 34 .
Recording a telephone conversa tion
using the ha ndset
Y ou can reco rd your co nversa tion while on
an out side cal l.
Import ant:
L Before recordi ng a conversation , you
should inform the other p arty that the
convers ation will be recorde d.
1 Press {j/OK } du ring a con versation .
2 Select “Record Cal l”, then press
{>}.
L A bee p is hear d and reco rding st art s.
L A bee p sounds every 15 se conds an d
can b e heard b y the ot her pa rty , but is
not recorde d.
3 T o stop reco rding , pre ss {j/OK }.
Note:
L Reco rded conv ersations are treated as
new me ssage s.
L T o l isten to the rec orde d co nver sati on, se e

L If mes sage me mory b ecom es ful l,
“Memory Full ” is disp layed and
recordi ng stop s. Erase u nnecess ary
message s (page 50).
L While re cordin g a conv ersation, you

handse t.
