3 The sensor makes a detection (a door sensor detects that its door was opened, a motion sensor
detects motion, etc.).
R If the sensor is configured to use entry time, entry time is in effect beginning when the sensor was
triggered. During this time, the system responds as follows.
The hub sounds an alert (i.e., entry delay alert).
The system sends a notification to your mobile devices (i.e., entry delay start notification). This
feature can be disabled ( “Notification settings”, Page 108).
The event (i.e., entry delay start) is logged in the sensor’s history.
R Water leak sensors are not subject to entry time or exit time.
R If the alarm system is not disarmed before entry time runs out, the alarm system will be triggered.

4 The alarm system is triggered. The system responds as follows.

The hub sounds an alert.
The siren sounds and flashes according to its settings (see “Device profiles (device settings)”,
Page 103).
The system sends a notification to your mobile devices. This feature can be disabled ( “Notification
settings”, Page 108).
The event is logged in the sensor’s history.
5 If the alert by phone call feature is enabled, the hub calls the pre-programmed phone number.

R If you cancel the alert ( “Canceling an alert”, Page 52), the alert by phone call feature will be
canceled for the current event.

6 If the sensor is configured to execute a smart control scenario, the scenario starts.

Canceling an alert
When the alarm system is triggered, you can confirm the triggered event in the [Home Network] app
home screen or by using your mobile device’s notification features.
If the sensor alert screen is displayed, tap [Stop] to cancel the alert. If the [Dismiss] icon is displayed
while viewing live images from a camera, tap [Dismiss] to cancel the alert.

Arming and disarming the alarm system

The alarm system features three modes. You can use the icons displayed at the top of the [Home
Network] app home screen to confirm or change the current arm mode.
Arm: At Home
Use this mode when someone is at home.
When this mode is selected, the following sensors are enabled and disabled by default. You can change
these settings if desired ( “Alarm system settings”, Page 53).
Window sensors and door sensors: Enabled
Motion sensors: Disabled
Water leak sensors: Enabled and cannot be disabled
Glass break sensors: Disabled
Garage door sensors: Enabled
Indoor camera motion detection features: Disabled
Outdoor camera motion detection features: Disabled
Arm: Away
Use this mode when no one is at home.
When this mode is selected, the following sensors are enabled and disabled by default. You can change
these settings if desired ( “Alarm system settings”, Page 53).
Window sensors and door sensors: Enabled
