6 Copy Copying
6.1 Making a copy 1 Adjust the width o f the documen t guides (1)
to fit the actual size of the doc ument.
2 Insert the document (up to 20 pages) FACE DO WN until a single beep is heard and the
unit gr asps the document.
L If the document guides are not adjusted
to fit the document, re-adjust them.
3 Press {COPY ST AR T}.
4 If necessar y , press {RESOLUTION}
repeatedly to select the desired resolution.
5 If necessary, enter the number of copies (up to 99).
6 Press {COPY ST AR T}, or wait f or 20
seconds.
L The unit will star t cop ying.
Note:
L Any document which can be se nt as a fax can
also be copied (page 31).
To stop copying Press {ST O P}.
To select the resolution Select the desired resolution according to the
type of document.
– “MIXED”: F or documents containing both
te xt and photogr aphs.
– “TEXT ”: F or documents containing only te xt.
– “PHOTO”: F or documents containing
photogr aphs, shaded dra wings , etc.

6.1.1 More copying features To enlarge a document 1. Inser t the document, then press { COPY
ST ART}.
2. Pre ss {A } repeatedly to select from “10 5% ”
to “200%” b y c hanging the enlargement r ate
5% at a time.
3. Pre ss { C OPY S T ART}.
L The unit will only enlarge the centre of the
upper par t of the document. T o make an
enlarged cop y of the bottom of the
document, turn the document around,
and then mak e a cop y .
Example: 150% enlarged copy
To reduce a document 1. Inser t the document, then press { COPY
ST ART}.
2. Pre ss {B} repeatedly to select from “50 % ” to
“95% ” b y changing the reduction rate 5% at a
time.
3. Pre ss { C OPY S T ART}.
Example: 70% reduced copy
To collate multiple copies The unit can collate multiple c opies in the same
order as the original document pages.
