7.1.1 Erasing your recorded greeting message 1 Select the line by pressing {LINE SELECT }.
L Be sure t o sele ct “LINE 1” or “ LINE 2”. If
you do not s elect a line or selec t
“LINE1&L INE2 ”, no matter which
greeting message is being pl a yed,
greeting messages f or both LINE 1 and
LINE 2 will be erased.
2 Press {GREETING/CHECK}, and then
press {ERASE } while y our greeting
message is pla y ed.
L The unit will answ er calls f or the line with
a pre-recorded greeting message .
7.1.2 Pre-recorded greeting message If you do not record a gr eeting message, pre-
recorded messages will be pla y ed when a call is
received, dependi ng on the caller’ s recording
time (f eature #10* and f eature #10# on page
79, or feature 0621 and 0622 on page 89) and
the receiving mode in the A UT O ANSWER
setting (f eatur e #77* and feature #77# on page
83).
T o c heck the pre-recorded greeting message,
select the line(s) by pressing {LINE SEL ECT},
then press {GREETING/CHECK }.
L A pre-recorded greeting message will be
pla yed as f ollows:
– When the recording time is set to “1 MIN ”,
“2 MIN ” or “3 MIN ”:
In T AM/F AX mode, “Hell o! W e are unab le to
ans wer right now . T o send a f ax, please star t
transmission. T o lea ve a v oice message,
please speak after the beep . Thank y ou. ”
In T AM ONL Y mode , “Hello! W e are unable
to ans wer right now . T o leav e a voice
message, please speak after the beep .
Thank you. ”
– When the recording time is set to “GREE TING
ONLY”:
“Hello! W e are unable to ans wer right now .
Please try again later . Thank y ou. ”
Incoming Mess ages
7.2 Listening to recorded messages using the base unit
When the unit has recorded new v oice
messa ges:
– The {MESSA GE} indic ator will flash.
– The total num ber of recorded messages will
be displa yed.
7.2.1 To play back messages Pre ss {MESSA GE}.
L Only new messages wil l be pla yed.
L Adjus t the speaker v olume using {A} or {B }.
L After pla ying back all of the new messages ,
the {MESSA GE} indicator will stop flashing,
then turn OFF . If you press {MESSA GE} at
this time, al l the recorded messages will be
pla yed.
Note:
L T o pla y bac k messages f or the desired
line(s), press {LINE SELECT } to select the
desired line(s) bef ore pressing {MESSA GE}.
Example: 02 MESSA GE
