The manual mode will be automatically selected when the console turns on. If a workout is selected, press the Manual Control button to switch back to manual mode. 3. Start pedaling to activate the manual mode. Change the resistance of the pedals by pressing the numbered Quick Resistance buttons or the Quick Resistance increase and decrease buttons. 4. Note that there will be a momentary delay for the pedals to adjust to the selected resistance level. 5. Monitor the following workout information on the display: Calories burned, Calories per Hour, Distance pedaled, Pace, Heart rate, Resistance level, Pedaling speed, and Time elapsed. 5. Use the Next Display button to cycle through different workout information or activate the scan mode for a repeating cycle display. 6. Measure your heart rate using the handgrip heart rate monitor or an optional chest heart rate monitor, compatible with BLUETOOTH® Smart heart rate monitors.
