6. Installation and Connections Connecting to a Wireless LAN (Optional: NP05LM series) The USB Wireless LAN Unit also provides a wireless LAN connection. To use a wireless LAN connection, you are
required to assign an IP address to the projector.
Important: • Ifyouusethe projectorwiththeUSB WirelessLANUnitin theareawherethe useofwirelessLAN equipmentis
prohibited, remove the USB Wireless LAN Unit from the projector.
• BuytheappropriateUSBWirelessLANUnitforyourcountryorarea.
NOTE:
• ThegreenLEDontheUSB WirelessLANUnitashestoshowthattheUSBWirelessLANUnitisworking.
• Y ourcomputer’ swirelessLANada pter(orunit)mustbecompliedwith Wi-Fi(IEEE802.11b/g/n)standard.
AttachingtheUSBWirelessLANUnit NOTE:
• The USB Wireless LAN Unit must be inserted into the USB Wireless LAN Unit port in the correct direction. It cannot be inserted in the reverse
direction. IftheUSB WirelessLANUnitisinsertedinthereversedirectionwithexcessiveforceapplied, theUSBportmaybreak.
• Before touching the USBWireless LAN Unit, touch a metallic object (such as a door knob or aluminum window frame) to discharge the
staticelectricityfromyourbody .
• AlwaysinsertorremovetheUSB WirelessLANunitwhenthemainpoweristurnedoff. Failuretodosomay causeprojectormalfunction
or damageto theUSB wirelessLAN unit. If the projectorwill not work correctly , turnoff theprojector , disconnect the po wercord, and then
connectitagain.
• The USB port of the projector is common use for theVIEWER. Whenthe USB memory is installed and activa te theVIEWER, you can not
utilizewirelessLAN.
1. Pressthe POWERbuttonto turnoffthe projectorandset
it into standby condition, and disconnect the power cord.
2. Slowly insert the USB Wireless LAN Unit into the USB port.
Remove the cap from the USB Wireless LAN Unit, and then
insertitwiththe surface(sideofindicator) facingdown.Keep
thecapforlateruse.
NOTE:
• DonotforcetoinserttheUSB WirelessLANUnit.
• Set the supplied strap onto the strap xing hole for the meas ure of
anti-theftanddropping-off.
To remove the USB Wireless LAN Unit, disconnect the power
cord and use the above procedure.
NOTE:
• ThegreenLED ontheUSB WirelessLANUnit ashestoshowthat Wireless
LAN Unit is working. If the USBWireless LAN Unit is incorrectly a ttached,
theblueLEDwillnotash.
• Donot press the button on the USBWireless LANUnit.Thebutton will not
workwiththismodel.
