May be a problem with my motherboard. I have the msi b450 tomahawk max with a Ryzen 5 processor inside of a lian li mesh 2 case. I followed a fantastic tutorial on a similar build using the same case but a slightly different mobo and processor. However, my computer will not turn on. Everything is plugged in properly to the power supply, but nothing is happening. I'm at a loss and slightly worried that it may be the mobo.

If the system won't power up, I'd check the front panel header connection. It's possible you misconnected the power switch and the power LED leads.

About a week after installing a B450 Tomahawk Max MB I lost on board audio and video. I had to install a video card to get video, but I still don't have audio. Speakers and cables are fine. Help. Sorry about the double posting of this issue.

I have a b450 tomahawk. was running great.. then one day it would not boot. MSI quickboot screen appears and says.. sata ports 1~6 not present. If I am interpreting this right I believe the only one 6gb sata ssd drive on sata1 stopped running for some reason. I believe after checking all connections that the drive may be so full (as I was having issues auto importing mp4 and dvi video footage from hdmi camera and drones that in fact there may have not been enough room to even start windows (?). After a (1) individual mp4 or video file auto transfer to assigned folders, auto transfer would crash (under normal conditions all photos /videos would transfer normally). I opted to buy a 500 gb sata ssd thinking that if I replace the suspect drive I could re-install windows, startup, and tether the old drive to the same sata1 ribbon (next available connector) to see if it would recognize and read data on suspect drive. All seems good so far, Windows re-installed exactly as expected but I only see the (1) new drive. Does the suspected drive have to have both connectors attached? I am assuming (1) smaller locking connector for power and (1) larger keyed connector for data (or vice versa). Are both required to be power and/or data to be recognized ? The new drive has both connectors connected ( and is now working aok) but the suspected drive I have only connected the larger keyed (data?) connector (I am assuming). Does this suspect drive also have the smaller locking connector connected to be detected ? Has my suspect drive failed loosing all that's on it or will the drive be recognized once I apply the locking type 2nd connector to it.
