It is important to comply with local and national building regulations. 3. If you are using an external motor, ensure that the exhaust ducting is sufficiently rigid to prevent distortion caused by underpressure. 4. To achieve optimal air extraction with minimal noise, consider the following: - The diameter of the exhaust ducting should be at least 150 mm. - If using flat ducting, the cross-sectional area should not be smaller than the exhaust connection's cross-sectional area. - Keep the exhaust ducting as short and straight as possible. - Use wide radius bends instead of sharp turns. - Ensure all connections are strong and airtight. 5. Avoid kinks or compression in the exhaust ducting, as this can reduce extraction performance and increase operating noise. 6. If the exhaust is ducted through an outside wall, it is recommended to use a telescopic wall vent or a roof vent (optional accessory). 7. If the exhaust air is directed into a vent flue, ensure that the ducting follows the flow direction of the flue. 8. For horizontal ducting, make sure it slopes away at least 1 cm per meter to prevent condensate from draining back into the rangehood. 9.
