T o insert batteries into the Speed Wheel:
1 T urn the speed wheel upside down.
2 Press the battery release button.
The batter y door opens.
3 InserttwonewAA(LR6)batterieswiththeirpositive(+)andnegative(–)ends
positionedasshownonthebatter ycompartment.Forbestper formance,AA
rechargeable batteries ar e not recommended.
4 Replacethebatter ydoorandpushtolockinplace.
Connect Y our Speed Wheel T o Y our Console
Y ou’ll need to connect your Speed Wheel and console before
you can use the wheel to play a game.
T o connect your speed wheel and console:
1 Start your console.
If you haven’t installed the speed wheel software on your
console,dosonowbyfollowingtheinstructionsinInstall
the Speed Wheel Software.
2 T ostartyourspeedwheel,pressandholdtheStartbutton
orGuidebuttonuntilthecontrollerlightsash.
3 Onyourconsole,presstheConnectbutton.
4 Onyourwheel,presstheConnectbutton.
Thelightontherighthandleofthewheelasheswhileconnecting.Whenthewireless
connectioniscompleted,onesegmentonthewheel’ slightringilluminates.
USING YOUR SPEED WHEEL Speed Wheel Controls
Y our speed wheel has several controls that you can use for
wheelsetupandgameplay .Theseincludebuttons,lights,and
triggers,whicharelocatedonthehandlebarsandinthe
center of the speed wheel.
Center Controls
The controls in the center of the speed wheel include the Start
button,Backbutton,andtheGuidebutton.Thelightring
surrounds the Guide button.
Start and Back button behavior is the same as on your Xbox
controller .
PresstheGuidebuttontoturnyourconsoleon.Onceon,pressingtheGuidebutton
givesyouimmediateaccesstotheXboxGuide.T oturno ffyourconsole,pressandhold
theGuidebuttonforthreesecondsandconrmyourselection.
Whenyouconnectthespeedwheeltoyourconsole,itisassignedaspecicquadrant,
whichglowsgreentoindicatethecontroller’snumberandposition.Eachsubsequent
speedwheelconnectedtotheconsole(uptofour)isassignedanadditionalquadrant.
Handle Bar Controls
Thecontrolsonthehandlebarincludetheacceleratortrigger ,thebraketrigger ,andthe
A,B,X ,andYbuttons.Formorespecicsabouthowthecontrolsworkwitheachgame,
see your game instructions.
Squeezing the accelerator trigger on the right handle bar makes your vehicle go faster .
TheA,B,X ,andYbuttonsbehavethesameasonyourXboxcontroller .
Squeezing the brake trigger on the left handle bar makes your vehicle slow down. The
directional pad behaves the same as on your Xbox contr oller .
Starting and Using Y our Speed Wheel
Whenyouuseyourspeedwheelwithdrivinggames,itactslikeasteeringwheeland
ignoresunwantedmotionlikepitch,yaw ,androll.However ,whenyouuseyourwheel
withagamethatsupportsmotiononthreeaxes,thewheelrespondsaccordingly .
T o start your speed wheel:
1 PressandholdtheStartbuttonorGuidebuttonuntilthecontrollerlightsash.
2 W ait for the wheel to be assigned a quadrant.
3 Whenthewheelisassigned,youcanusethewheeltoplayyourfavoritegame.
CLEANING YOUR SPEED WHEEL Cleanonlywithadr yorslightlydampcloth.Usingcleaningsolutionsmaydamageyour
racing wheel.
TROUBLESHOOTING Ifyouencounterproblems,trythepossiblesolutionsprovidedbelow.
Speed Wheel Does Not Work
T urn on the speed wheel by pressing the Start button or Guide Button and connect the
wheel to your console. If the console lights spin longer than 15 seconds when connecting:
• Movethespeedwheelclosertotheconsole.
• Makesurethebatteriesarefullychar gedandinser tedcorrectly .
• Keeptheconsoleandspeedwheelatleastthreefeetawayfr omlargemetalobjects,
suchaslecabinetsandrefrigerators.
• Metallicdecorationsorstickersontheconsoleorspeedwheelcaninterferewith
performance.Removedecorationsandtr yconnectingagain.
• Makesurethefronto ftheconsoleispositionedinthedirectionoftheracingwheel
and away from nearby walls.
• Cordlessphones(2.4GHz),wirelessLANs,wirelessvideotransmitters,microwave
ovens,andsomemobile/cellphonescaninterferewiththeoperationofthespeed
wheel. T urn these off or unplug them and try connecting again.
