n Read the instructions for use carefully before using your appliance for the first time: any use
which does not conform to the instructions for use will release KRUPS from all responsibil-
ity.
n This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities, or persons with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should not be allowed to play with the appliance.
n Any error in connection will cancel the terms of your guarantee.
n The appliance must be plugged into an earthed electrical socket.
n If you have to use an electrical extension lead, it must be earthed and you should make sure
that no-one can trip over it.
n The appliance is designed to work with alternating current only. Check that the voltage rating
of the appliance does in fact match that of your electrical system.
n This product has been designed for domestic use only. In the event of any commercial use, inappropriate
use or failure to comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the
guarantee will not apply.
n Unplug the appliance as soon as you have finished using it and when you clean it.
n Do not use your appliance if it is not working correctly or if it has been damaged or if it has a damaged
cord or plug. If this is the case, contact a KRUPS approved service centre (see list in service booklet).
n Any work on the appliance other than normal care and cleaning by the customer must be carried out by
a KRUPS approved service centre.
n Do not immerse the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or in any other liquid.
n Do not allow the power cord to hang within the reach of children, to come close to or into contact with
the hot parts of your appliance, any other source of heat or any sharp edge.
n Do not use the juice extractor (j) if the filter (j3) is damaged.
n Do not put any accessories containing metal in a microwave oven.
n For your safety, only use KRUPS accessories and spare parts that correspond to your appliance. Use
only one accessory at a time.
n Always remove the accessories on the outlet (a5) before activating the release button (a3) for the multi-
function head (a4).
n Always use the pusher to feed food items down the feed tube of the accessories; never use your
fingers or cutlery or any other implement.

n Handle the blades of accessories (d, e, f, g), the drums of the accessory (k), the rotary filter (j3) of the
juice extractor (j) with great care when emptying the jugs and when cleaning: they are extremely
sharp.
n Do not touch moving parts when the appliance is running. Wait for the appliance and the accessories
to come to a standstill to handle or remove these accessories.
n Never insert utensils (spoon, spatula, etc.) through the feed tube of the cover (b2) or (d4) or
into the pasta rolling mill (l1) or the pasta dies (m2) (m3) (m4).
n Do not allow long hair, scarves, ties etc. to dangle over the appliance or accessories during operation.
n Do not operate the blender without its cover, without ingredients or with only dry products.
n Do not allow the multifunction head to drop abruptly when you press the release button for the head
(a4); support it with your hand.
