nLa montée en pression étant sans cesse renouvelée, le café s’écoulera par alternance.
nL’écoulement du café est terminé lorsque le café ne coule plus du filtre permanent pendant une dizaine

de secondes.

nLorsque le cycle est terminé, appuyer sur le bouton sécurité (B) et relever DOUCEMENT et simultanément

le levier de verrouillage (A) afin d’évacuer toute pression résiduelle. Fig. 11 Ôter la carafe.

Attention : Ne pas toucher les parties en acier inoxydable de la machine : le réservoir d’eau (G)

et le couvercle du filtre (C). Il y a un risque de brûlure notamment lors du versage

du café.

nUne apparence parfois trouble du café peut être due à la qualité de l’eau, au type de mouture utilisé ou

à son degré de finesse. Nous vous conseillons de remuer le café dans la carafe avant de servir.

nAu cas où le cycle de café prendrait sensiblement plus de temps que d’habitude, procéder au détartrage

de la machine. (voir paragraphe DÉTARTRAGE)

ARRÊT AUTOMATIQUE

nVotre appareil s’éteindra automatiquement environ 20 min après la mise en marche du cycle.

RANGEMENT DU CORDON D’ALIMENTATION

Cette cafetière est munie d’un système pratique d’enroulement du cordon situé sous l’appareil. Fig. 12

NETTOYAGE

nNe jamais plonger le corps de l’appareil dans l’eau. Toujours débrancher et laisser refroidir l’appareil avant

le nettoyage.

nLe réservoir d’eau (G) et l’élément chauffant sont en acier inoxydable et se nettoient donc facilement.
nNettoyer le réservoir d’eau (G) avec un chiffon doux ou une éponge humide. Ne pas nettoyer l’appareil

lorsqu’il est encore chaud.

nNe pas essayer d’enlever les dépôts calcaires avec des objets ou matériaux abrasifs; ils pourraient se

loger dans le tuyau et le boucher (voir le paragraphe « DÉTARTRAGE »).

nLaver la carafe (E), les couvercles ( C et F) et le filtre permanent (D) à l’eau chaude avec du savon à

vaisselle puis rincer abondamment et soigneusement.

nÀ l’occasion, desserrer la molette sur le dessous du couvercle du filtre permanent (D) et nettoyer la partie

intérieure du couvercle. Fig. 13 et 14

REMPLACEMENT DU JOINT D’ÉTANCHEITÉ

nAprès un certain temps d’utilisation, le couvercle du réservoir d’eau (F), du filtre permanent (D) ou le

tuyau d’eau chaude risquent de ne plus fermer parfaitement. Ceci est dû à la détérioration des joints

d’étanchéité. Pour les remplacer, s’adresser à un centre de service agréé KRUPS.

DÉTARTRAGE

nPourquoi détartrer

Le calcaire se dépose naturellement dans votre cafetière. Le détartrage préserve la cafetière et lui assure une

plus longue longévité. Le détartrage assure une qualité de café constante dans le temps. Le calcaire risque

d’altérer de façon définitive les performances de la machine. Les dysfonctionnements liés à l’entartrage ne

seront pas pris sous garantie en cas de retour du produit.

nQuand détartrer

La fréquence du détartrage dépend de la dureté de l’eau et du nombre de cycles de café. Lorsque l’on

rencontre les signes suivants : temps de cycle rallongé, forte évaporation, niveau de bruits élevé en fin de

cycle, arrêt en cours de cycle, cela signifie que votre machine est entartrée.
