Same problem battery light on but not igniting
When taking a shower, the heater starts properly, but when adding cold water to adjust the temperature, the heater turns itself off. What might be the reason for that? I could not find a hint in the manual. Thank you for your support! C.Osthoff

As above
Happens to me with a Junkers WR-11-2 on the third floor with low water pressure during the day. Rated to provide 10 to 11 liters per minute, it requires a minimum flow of 5 liters per minute to operate (not a published number, I measured it - that is an appallingly high minimum flow requirement aka poor turndown ratio). My guess is that when you add cold water, the demand for hot water drops below the minimum flow requirement of the heater and it shuts down. Try 1) turning down the "power selector" so that the heater runs cooler and you do not need to mix in cold water at the shower and 2) turning the volume selector toward a minimum (consistent with the water not getting too hot) since this will tend to keep the heater running at lower flows. Yes, the manual is horribly absent commentary on how to handle low water pressure, hopefully requiring the utility company to increase it! For the technically competent, looking at the schematic, installing a weaker spring in the main gas valve should allow the heater to run with reduced water flows, but do not overdo it!
