Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the John Deere D130 below.
When the grass is longer than 4.5cm, the grass should be cut. The ideal length is between 3 and 4.5cm.
In the spring, the grass should be cut every week, while in the summer once every two weeks is sufficient.
You can, but the result is better in dry weather. When the grass is wet, grass clumps can easily form and clog the mower.
Ensure that the fuel tank is filled with fresh gasoline, the ignition switch is in the ON position, and the brake pedal is fully engaged before attempting to start the engine.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever, usually positioned near the wheels, and move it to the desired setting. Lower numbers indicate a shorter cutting height, while higher numbers result in a longer cut.
Check the mower blades for damage or dullness. If needed, consult the manual for guidance on removing and sharpening or replacing the blades to ensure a clean and even cut.
Examine the underside of the mower deck for any debris or grass clumps that may be causing a blockage. Remove any obstructions carefully, making sure the mower is powered off and the spark plug wire is disconnected.
Regular maintenance includes tasks such as checking and replacing the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, changing the engine oil, and greasing relevant fittings. Refer to the manual for specific intervals and instructions on each maintenance task to keep your lawnmower in optimal condition.
