Hello, I want to know why my John Deere D130 lawnmower does not start, the engine does not turn on and the lights do not turn on. I cleaned the spark plugs and the battery terminals. But the engine does not work, it does not do anything, and the battery also does not work. Can you give me some help? Thank you.

If your John Deere D130 riding lawn mower starts but does not move and the transmission does not engage, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Safely lift and support the machine using a lifting device that can handle the load safely. 2. Place the lifting device under the transmission, directly under the machine. 3. Remove the plastic cap, snap ring, and washer from the wheel. 4. Take out the wheel assembly from the machine. 5. Check the shaft key (located at the end of the transaxle shaft) for any damage or wear. 6. Inspect the washers and spacer for any damage or wear. 7. If any components are damaged or worn, bring the wheel assembly to an authorized service dealer for repairs. 8. When reinstalling the wheel, make sure to correctly install the washers, spacer, and shaft key. 9. Install the rear wheel, washer, snap ring, and plastic cap. 10. Safely remove the jack stands and lower the machine. 11. If the issue persists after following these steps, please contact your authorized dealer for further assistance.

I have a D130 ride on mower and have replaced the main drive belt and the mower deck belt. For some reason the main drive belt I don't think is as tensioned as it should be as it doesn't drive as fast and I feel it slips a bit. Is there any way to tension up the drive belt? Thanks

I removed the front tire on my D-130 to add an inner tube. NO OTHER CHANGE WAS MADE TO THE SPINDLE OR THE WHEEL. When I went to put the wheel back on the spindle had 'shrunk'! I could not get the wheel any further on the spindle than 1/8th an inch, which meant I did not have room for the front washer and locking c-clamp to go back on. I checked the spindle, the back washer and housing. they were just where they should be. I checked the wheel. The bearing is flush with the housing. The wheel slides along the spindle no problem but will not go back far enough to put the front washer and locking clamp on. I contacted John Deere HQ. They told me to contact my local dealer. They said to just take off the back washer, it wasn't needed any way; I thought B.S.contacted John Deere HQ again and they agreed. Not having the back washer is a bad Idea! . So I am stuck with a mower with three wheels and a 'shrunken' spindle for the other one. This seems to be the perfect puzzle, I am stumped. Any suggestions? Thanks Jack

Apparently I didn't tighten the cap on the check oil spout after checking and adding a small amount. Hubby said that oil sprayed all over the engine. I mowed our whole yard after doing so and never saw or smelled smoke. I do see oil in various spots under the hood and on top of engine cover. How much damage might I have caused and how can I fix it?
