My jbl head phones are pairing as 2 separate devices and I only have 1 headset.. how do I make them sync again cause I can only hear out of one earbud at a time

I have done a factory reset as well as pairing reset so my earbud can both play at the same time and neither have helped. The issue is I need to connect both earbud to my phone at the same time, but it is only connecting to the left. How do I fix this? They are only a month and a half used and disconnected out of no where during use.
