Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Husqvarna Viking 230 below.
Which size of needle you can best use depends on the thickness of the fabric you use. With a thick fabric you should use a thick needle. The packaging of your needle states for which substances your needle is suitable.
Generally, a sewing needle lasts about 7 to 9 hours.
There can be several causes for needle breakage: - Not using the right needle for the right fabric - The needle is set too low - The fabric is not properly guided - The bobbin case is not inserted correctly
The most common reason for a loud noise when you start sewing is that the machine is not properly threaded. Make sure to follow the correct threading instructions, including threading the bobbin correctly, to avoid this noise.
Frequent needle breakage can often be caused by using the wrong needle size for the type of fabric you are sewing. Refer to the recommended needle size chart in the manual to ensure you are using the appropriate needle for the fabric.
Skipped stitches can occur due to various reasons. First, make sure the needle is sharp and properly inserted. Secondly, check the tension settings for both the upper and lower threads. Adjusting the tension according to the fabric type can minimize skipped stitches.
When the needle fails to pick up the bobbin thread, it is commonly due to improper threading of the bobbin case or incorrect threading of the upper thread. Double-check the threading paths following the manual's instructions to resolve this issue.
Thread bunching or tangling beneath the fabric is often a sign of incorrect bobbin tension or improper bobbin insertion. Ensure that the bobbin is correctly threaded and inserted, and adjust the bobbin tension if necessary. In addition, confirm that the upper thread is threaded correctly and passing smoothly through the tension discs.

Number of questions: 23I need to know where I can acquire the wheel for my Husqvarna sewing machine, model 230 electric, that broke...best regards
This message has been automatically translatedI have had my machine for 25 years. I think that the needle is positioned too far to the left. The image shows when I have the highest stitch width, 5.5, for the zigzag stitch. Shouldn't the needle automatically be in the center of the presser foot when choosing a straight stitch? It doesn't. At a setting of 2 on the stitch width dial, the needle is in the center of the presser foot. I have never thought about being able to move the straight stitch sideways with the stitch width dial, except for being able to choose the left position. Is it supposed to be like this and have I been unaware of it all these years, or is there something wrong with the machine?
This message has been automatically translatedThe top knob will no longer adjust for different stitches. The yellow indicator will no longer move up or down and the stitch indicated by my finger is where the machine is stuck, in slow of the yellow indicator showing a different stitch. I believe something came loose when i took the case apart to fix another problem. How can i fix this?

To fix the issue where the top knob of the Husqvarna Viking 230 sewing machine no longer adjusts for different stitches and the yellow indicator does not move, you can try the following steps: 1. Check the thread tension: Make sure the thread tension is set correctly. You can adjust the thread tension by turning the dial. The normal thread tension is usually set at number 4. For buttonholes and decorative stitches, set the thread tension to number 3. If you are topstitching with a coarse thread in thick fabrics, increase the tension to 7-9. 2. Test the thread tension: Sew a few sample stitches at different tension settings to find the correct thread tension. Begin with a tension that is too loose (dial set at "1") and observe the lower thread lying straight and the upper thread being drawn down on the underside. Increase the tension gradually until the threads interlock in the middle of both layers of material or on the underside for decorative stitches. 3. Check for loose parts: Since you mentioned that something may have come loose when you took the case apart, carefully inspect the machine for any loose parts or connections. Ensure that all components are securely in place.

How can I release the reverse sewing
When I use the machine it is struggling to go up and down. When it does work it is very slow.
Is there anywhere I can watch a video tutorial that will go through the dials and settings as well as when you would use differant settings ect ect in a way that a beginner to sewing as well as new user of the machine would be able to understand and learn from? I have a husqvarna sew r 230 electronic sewing machine that I am wanting to learn how to use. I'm also new to sewing all together so I have no idea about basic stitch, material, sewing knowledge or words ect. I'm also very much a visual/hands on learner and find just reading instructions hard and in some parts almost impossible to understand and learn from. I found some very easy to understand tutorials on how to thread the machiene properly and I can do that but the dials, stitchs, settings, material guide ect is really confusing. Please let me know of any helpful sites ect I really need a guided, easy to understand, tutorial that will actually explain the ins and outs of my particular machiene (husqvarna sew easy 230 electronic) and that shows and explains the what, why, when, how of the sewing ect without assuming I would already know what's going on or like there just reading things straight of a pamphlet or booklet and not getting into any further expiation. Thank you
