Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Horizon Fitness Paragon 308 below.
As an adult, it is recommended to do moderately intensive exercise for at least 2.5 hours per week. Preferably spread over several days.
As a rule of thumb for your maximum heart rate, you can use 220 minus your age.
First, make sure the treadmill is properly plugged in and turned on. Then, press and hold the "Stop" and "Enter" buttons simultaneously. Once the speed calibration mode appears on the screen, follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the speed.
To address belt slipping, you can start by tightening the belt. Locate the rear roller adjustment bolts at the back of the treadmill near the belt. Gradually turn each bolt clockwise in small increments until the belt no longer slips, making sure it still moves smoothly.
Adjusting the incline is simple. Use the "Incline +" and "Incline -" buttons on the console to increase or decrease the incline level. Each press will adjust the incline by one level increment until you reach the desired incline setting.
Ensure that you are properly holding the heart rate handlebar grips, as they have built-in heart rate sensors. If you are, try wiping the grips with a clean cloth to remove any sweat or debris that may be interfering with the sensors. Additionally, make sure you are not wearing gloves while trying to measure your heart rate.
Start by pressing the "Programs" button on the console. Next, choose a program that fits your desired workout goal. Follow the on-screen instructions to input your age, weight, and other relevant details. Once you have entered your information, the treadmill will automatically adjust the speed, incline, and duration according to your personalized program.
