To remove and clean the flooring nozzle of the Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000, follow these steps: 1. Ensure that the Clean Water Tank, Dirty Water Tank, and Solution Tank are removed and emptied to prevent any possible leaking. 2. Rinse any debris from the nozzle. 3. With the handle in the upright position, lift up on the nozzle release and pull the nozzle forward to remove it from the carpet cleaner. Be careful not to instantly pull the nozzle straight up. 4. Position the nozzle onto the foot of the carpet cleaner, making sure to align the tabs at the top of the nozzle with the notches inside the foot. 5. To reattach the nozzle, slide it forward until it snaps into position. 6. The nozzle must be in the proper position for the unit to have proper suction.

To properly position the springs on the handle of the clear roller cover of the Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000, follow these steps: 1. Make sure the handle is in the upright position while using the hose. This will shut off the FlexForce™ PowerBrushes. 2. Use your thumb to push forward and up on the latch to remove the tool. 3. Slide the tool onto the connector of the hose until it securely locks into place. 4. To prevent any potential leaking, remove and empty the Clean Water Tank, Dirty Water Tank, and Solution Tank. 5. Rinse any debris from the Nozzle and slide the Nozzle forward to snap it into position. 6. With the handle in the upright position, lift up on the Nozzle release and pull the Nozzle forward to remove it from the carpet cleaner. Be careful not to pull the nozzle straight up immediately. 7. Position the Nozzle onto the foot, ensuring that the tabs at the top of the Nozzle align with the notches inside the foot.

If your Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000 vacuum cleaner is unable to remove water, please follow these steps: 1. After completing the cleaning process, press the Dry Only button. This mode will extract any remaining water from your carpet. 2. Slowly pull the vacuum cleaner backwards to let it automatically dry your carpets by removing the water. 3. If you still see water passing through the nozzle, continue using dry strokes until very little water is visible. 4. For the best results, rinse the carpet with only clean water. Remove the Solution Tank and repeat the cleaning process. Please remember to avoid cleaning over floor electrical outlets and to empty the Dirty Water Tank when the motor sound becomes higher pitched and there is a loss of suction. Following these steps should help resolve the issue of your Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000 vacuum cleaner not extracting water.

I figured out that if you DO NOT lend it to your 41 yr. old daughter to clean an apartment that housed her/spouse, 3 kids, and 4 dogs for 5+ years, it’ll work just fine!

My roller on my Smartwash stopped working making a noise when engaged. Cleaned the rollers and no obstructions, bearing are good. With the brushes off the noise goes away but the drive wheels are not engaging. I read that there is a turbine that drives the roller brushes?

@Don Lansford yes there is a turbine that engages the brushes. I don’t know how to get to it on this model. I did get to it on an older model and I can tell you it is a DIRTY smelly job that is just slim and sludge and it took me about half the day to get it cleaned and lubricated. I suggest finding a repair shop and let them handle it. Otherwise dig around on YouTube to find a video showing a similar machine and lay out a dirt old blanket and plenty of cleaning rags and maybe a bucket of water plus WD40 Cleaning brush’s screwdriver and Alan head wrench’s

My Hoover vacuum is losing suction. Why is that?

Your Hoover vacuum cleaner losing suction power can be due to the following causes: - The suction power is not set to maximum - The dust container or dust bag is full - The hose, brush or tube is clogged

How often should I check the filter?

A clean filter is important to maintain the vacuum cleaner's suction power. Therefore, check the filter regularly. When a filter is clogged, dust absorption decreases and energy consumption increases.

What do I do with a smelly vacuum cleaner?

A commonly used method is to put a little washing powder in the dust container or the dust bag.

How often should I vacuum my house?

For allergy sufferers, vacuuming the house at least twice a week is recommended.

How do I assemble the Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000?

To assemble the Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000, start by attaching the handle to the main body of the vacuum cleaner. Next, snap the clean water tank into place on the front of the machine and ensure it is securely latched. Lastly, attach the dirty water tank to the back of the vacuum cleaner.

How do I fill the clean water tank?

To fill the clean water tank, simply remove it from the vacuum cleaner by lifting the handle upwards. Unscrew the cap on top of the tank and fill it with hot tap water up to the designated fill line. Once filled, securely screw the cap back on and place the tank back into the machine.

How do I adjust the carpet height on the Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000?

To adjust the carpet height, rotate the dial located on the front of the vacuum cleaner near the brushroll. Turning it clockwise will lower the height for low-pile carpets, while turning it counterclockwise will raise the height for high-pile carpets.

How do I clean the brushroll on the Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000?

To clean the brushroll, first, ensure the vacuum cleaner is unplugged. Flip the vacuum cleaner over and locate the brushroll cover. Remove the cover by pressing the release buttons on each side. Carefully remove any hair, fibers, or debris wrapped around the brushroll using scissors or your fingers. Once cleaned, reattach the brushroll cover.

How do I troubleshoot if the Hoover SmartWash Plus FH52000 loses suction?

If the vacuum cleaner loses suction, check if the dirty water tank is full and needs to be emptied. Ensure the dirty water tank is properly clicked into place. Additionally, make sure the hose, nozzle, and brushroll are clear of any clogs or blockages. If the issue persists, check if the filter is clean and unclogged.
