Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Honeywell TB7980 below.
The best place for the thermostat is the room where you spend the most time, in many cases the living room or kitchen. Place the thermostat about one and a half metres above the floor, not in the sun and not on an outside wall.
If your thermostat has a dead band, your installation is, as it were, 'at rest'. The thermostat only switches on when, for example, the difference deviates more than 2˚C from the set room temperature.
Most people find that the ideal room temperature is between 19 and 22 degrees Celsius.
Press the "Up" or "Down" arrows located on the thermostat's display to adjust the temperature setting to your desired level.
Check if the thermostat is receiving power by ensuring it is properly connected to a functioning power source. If not, resolve the power issue first.
Press the "Mode" button on the thermostat's display to cycle through the available modes until you reach the desired heating or cooling setting.
Verify if the thermostat is installed in an optimal location away from heat sources or drafts. Adjust the thermostat's temperature differential setting if needed.
Use the thermostat's scheduling function to set different temperature levels based on specific times of the day. Press the "Program" button and follow the on-screen prompts to set your desired schedule.

Question and answer
Number of questions: 2We ordered a Honeywell TB7980A-1006 Thermostat with Night Setback (NSB). We were expecting a time schedule to set when NSB occurs (eg, after hours, weekends). The TB7980 does not have a time schedule (?). The NSB is activated via dry contacts. Please provide a Honeywell product # to permit dry contact output with a time schedule to work with the TB7980-1006 T-Stat. Thank you.
