The best place for the thermostat is the room where you spend the most time, in many cases the living room or kitchen. Place the thermostat about one and a half metres above the floor, not in the sun and not on an outside wall.
If your thermostat has a dead band, your installation is, as it were, 'at rest'. The thermostat only switches on when, for example, the difference deviates more than 2˚C from the set room temperature.
Most people find that the ideal room temperature is between 19 and 22 degrees Celsius.
Check if the thermostat is properly installed and securely connected to the power source. Make sure the circuit breaker or fuse is not tripped or blown. Confirm that the thermostat settings are adjusted correctly.
Press the up or down arrow buttons on the thermostat to raise or lower the desired temperature. Ensure that you press the hold button after setting the desired temperature to maintain the setpoint until manually changed.
Verify that the system mode is correctly set to either heating or cooling, depending on your needs. Check if the fan mode is set to "Auto" rather than "On" to prevent constant fan operation. Make sure there are no obstructions affecting the thermostat's sensors.
Press the menu button on your thermostat, navigate to the "Program" mode, and select it. Follow the on-screen prompts to set your desired temperature and time intervals for each period (wake, leave, return, sleep). Ensure that you save your settings and activate the program for it to take effect.
Check if the thermostat batteries are low and need to be replaced. Verify that the display contrast is not too low or too high, adjusting it if necessary. If the issue persists, power cycle the thermostat by removing it from the wall plate for a few seconds before reattaching it.

How to remove "hold" on display

Press the button under 'Run Schedule' and the HOLD temperature is removed. Using the arrows alone will change the temperature setting and place the thermostat into 'Temporary' mode. This will stay in the temporary thermostat setting until the next program starts, or you select 'Run Program'.
