When the grill position of the oven is used, the top element of the oven will heat up. The grill mode is used for grilling and to give dishes a nice dark crust.
For the best preparation of a recipe, the oven should always be preheated to the recommended temperature.
Burnt-on grease is best removed with an oven cleaner spray. Spray the inside of the oven and leave it on for about 30 minutes. The oven can then be cleaned with warm water.
Oven grills are best cleaned with a scouring sponge under a hot tap.

To activate the convection oven feature, press the "Convection Bake" button on the control panel. Then, use the arrow keys to adjust the temperature if needed. The oven will automatically adjust the cooking time for convection baking, ensuring faster and more even cooking.
To use the self-clean cycle, make sure the oven is empty and remove any large food spills or debris. Then, press the "Self Clean" button on the control panel and select the desired cleaning duration (e.g., 2, 3, or 4 hours). Close the oven door, and the self-clean cycle will automatically begin. It's important to note that the oven will lock during the cleaning process for safety reasons.
To adjust the oven racks, open the oven door fully. Grip the sides of the rack and lift it straight up to remove it. To place the rack at a different position, align the rack hooks with the desired support rails and gently slide it into place. Ensure the rack is properly inserted and level before using it for cooking.

To restore the GE Profile PTD7000SNSS oven after cleaning the front screen without accidentally activating any features or functions, follow these steps: 1. Manual Cleaning: Do not use steel wool or scouring pads on the interior of the oven. Instead, clean with a mild soap and water, or vinegar and water solution. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. Make sure the surfaces are at room temperature. 2. Steam Clean Mode: If you prefer to use the Steam Clean feature, wipe grease and soils from the oven. Pour one cup of water into the bottom of the oven. Close the door and select the "More" option on the control panel. Then, choose "Steam Clean" and press "Start" to begin the 30-minute steam clean cycle. Do not open the door during the cycle. After the cycle is complete, wipe out any excess water and remaining soil. 3. Self Clean Mode: For a more thorough cleaning, you can use the Self Clean mode. Remove all items from the oven except for enameled (dark color) racks. Shiny or silver racks, the meat probe, and any cookware or other items should be removed. Select the "More" option on the control panel, then choose "Self Clean". Select a 3, 4, or 5-hour cycle and press the illuminated "Start" pad. The oven door will lock, and the self-clean cycle will begin. Do not open the door during the cycle. After the cycle is complete, the door will unlock. Wipe any ash out of the oven. 4. Cleaning the Front Frame: Soil on the front frame of the oven and outside the gasket on the door should be cleaned by hand. Use hot water, soap-filled steel wool pads, or cleaners such as Soft Scrub. Rinse well with clean water and dry.

My clock on by new GE smart double oven model number PTD7000SNSS keeps resetting the time to an hour prior to the time it really is. I keep changing it back but it will not stay there. This started not long after we installed the oven and then went through day light savings time. Is there a way to keep the oven on the correct time?

I had the same thing, you can't choose a time zone on the oven, you have to go to the app and select general settings / clock sync and choose correct time zone. GE was kind enough not to let you do this on the oven control.
