Inspect the dryer drum for any foreign objects like buttons or coins that might be causing the noise. Also, ensure that the dryer is placed on a level surface and not overloaded, as these factors can contribute to excessive noise.

Detach the harness retainer by squeezing its clips and pulling it out. Rotate it and swap it onto the opposite side, making sure to route its harness behind the glass. Why can't I start my dryer? There is a lock showing where the minutes show
1 comment
The manual for the GE Profile PTD60EBSRWS dryer does not provide specific information about a lock symbol being displayed instead of the minutes. However, there are a few general troubleshooting steps you can try: 1. Check the control panel: Make sure the dryer is not in a locked state. Some dryers have a control lock feature that prevents the buttons from being pressed. Look for a lock symbol or a button labeled "Control Lock" and press and hold it for a few seconds to unlock the controls. 2. Power cycle the dryer: Turn off the dryer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the control panel and resolve minor issues. 3. Check the door switch: The dryer may not start if the door switch is faulty or not fully engaged. Open the dryer door and ensure that it closes securely and activates the door switch. If the switch is loose or damaged, it may need to be replaced.
