To remove the lock symbol from the timer panel on the GE Profile PTD60EBSRWS dryer, you can follow these steps: 1. Open the door of the dryer approximately 130°. 2. Use a putty knife to remove the 4 plastic caps located along the left side of the front panel and set them aside. 3. Remove the bottom screw from each hinge on the right side and partially insert them into each top hinge hole on the left side. This will move all 4 front panel hinge screws to the top hinge holes - 2 on the left and 2 on the right. 4. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to remove the harness cover from the front panel. 5. Remove both the blind plate and the strike plate and install them in the opposite positions. 6. Remove the plastic beauty cover and install it onto the other side of the front panel. 7. Loosen each top hinge screw on the right side. 8. Remove the door and place it on a protective flat surface to avoid any damage. 9. Rotate the inner door 180°. Detach the harness retainer by squeezing its clips and pulling it out. Rotate it and swap it onto the opposite side, making sure to route its harness behind the glass. Remove the plastic cover by squeezing its clips and pulling it out. Rotate it and swap it onto the opposite side. 10. Remove the 8 inside screws and lift the inner door upwards using a flat blade screwdriver. Remove the 2 door hinges. 11. Remove the 2 hinge plastic caps and 4 hinge screws. 12. Remove and swap the two plastic caps onto the opposite side.

Why can't I start my dryer? There is a lock showing where the minutes show

The manual for the GE Profile PTD60EBSRWS dryer does not provide specific information about a lock symbol being displayed instead of the minutes. However, there are a few general troubleshooting steps you can try: 1. Check the control panel: Make sure the dryer is not in a locked state. Some dryers have a control lock feature that prevents the buttons from being pressed. Look for a lock symbol or a button labeled "Control Lock" and press and hold it for a few seconds to unlock the controls. 2. Power cycle the dryer: Turn off the dryer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the control panel and resolve minor issues. 3. Check the door switch: The dryer may not start if the door switch is faulty or not fully engaged. Open the dryer door and ensure that it closes securely and activates the door switch. If the switch is loose or damaged, it may need to be replaced.
