Introduction Spécificités

Le Piper J-3 Cub est un avion léger américain construit
entre 1937 et 1947 par la Piper Aircraft Company, comme
avion-école accessible. Cet avion offrait une conception simple
et légère qui donnait d'excellentes qualités de vol aux basses
vitesses, et de bonnes possibilités d'utilisation de terrains
courts. Durant la seconde guerre mondiale, le J-3 militarisé
devint le L-4 Grasshopper, utilisé de façon intensive pour la
reconnaissance, le transport de matériel, le réglage d'artillerie
et les évacuations sanitaires de soldats blessés.
Comme le modèle original, le nouveau J-3 1400mm de FMS
offre d'excellentes capacités de décollage et atterrissage court
et de superbes qualités de vol lent. FMS a mis le paquet pour
détailler au maximum cet avion, avec des éléments comme
le moteur et le train, en plus de nombreux autres détails qui
sont reproduits avec amour. Il est à noter que des flotteurs
maquettes ont été réalisés, à la demande de la communauté.
Pour changer un peu, FMS a choisi un décor rouge attractif et
bien réel pour cette troisième version, au lieu du sempiternel
"Jaune Cub", car tous les Cub ne sont pas jaunes !
Pour le pilote cherchant une maquette facile à piloter, avec
les caractéristiques d'un gentil trainer, disposant d'une belle
puissance et de lignes gracieuses issues de l'âge d'or, le J-3
1400 mm de FMS offre tout ça, et bien plus encore.
