How the First Response

pregnancy test works . . .

The First Response™ Pregnancy Test
detects the pregnancy hormone called hCG
(human chorionic gonadotropin) in
your urine. The amount of pregnancy
hormone in your body increases during the
first three months of pregnancy.
The First Response™ Pregnancy Test is so
sensitive that there is usually enough hCG
to be detected as early as the first day of
your missed period.

The First Response Dip & Read is a pregnancy test that is widely used in the United States. It is a simple and convenient way for women to determine if they are pregnant. The test works by detecting the presence of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in the urine. This hormone is produced by the placenta during pregnancy. To use the First Response Dip & Read, a woman needs to collect her urine in a clean cup and then dip the test strip into the urine sample for a few seconds. After that, she can lay the test strip flat and wait for the results. The test provides easy-to-read results in just a few minutes. If there are two pink lines in the control and test areas, it indicates a positive result and means that the woman is likely pregnant. If there is only one pink line in the control area, it indicates a negative result and means that the woman is likely not pregnant. The First Response Dip & Read is known for its accuracy and reliability. It is able to detect pregnancy as early as six days before the woman's missed period. However, it is important to note that no test is 100% accurate, and it is always recommended to confirm the results with a healthcare professional. Overall, the First Response Dip & Read provides a convenient and effective way for women to determine if they are pregnant. With its easy-to-use design, reliable results, and early detection capabilities, it has become a popular choice among women in the United States.

What should I do if the test result is invalid?

If the test result of the First Response Dip & Read pregnancy test is invalid, follow these steps: 1. Make sure you followed the instructions carefully. Ensure that you filled the cup provided with urine and dipped the test strip for exactly 10 seconds, not exceeding the maximum urine level line on the strip. 2. Check the timing. Read the test result within 2-5 minutes after placing the strip on a flat non-absorbent surface with the printed side facing up. If you wait too long, the result may become invalid. 3. Repeat the test. If no line appears in the Result Window after 5 minutes, the result is considered invalid. Repeat the test using another First Response Dip & Read pregnancy test, making sure to follow the instructions accurately. 4. Contact your healthcare professional. If you continue to receive invalid results or have concerns about the accuracy of the test, it is recommended to consult with your healthcare professional for further guidance and advice. How long should I wait to read the test result?
