The configuration program main window consists of two major sections (see
figure 32 on the previous page):

Device configuration tree — Displays a list of devices that have been
configured and lets you organize and save all configurations in a single project file.

Main panel — Contains the controls that enable you to configure the MLC.
The following is displayed on the MLC main window:
The device configuration name appears in the configuration tree (see
figure 32,
1
), with the names of the two ports to which a device can be
connected and controlled via RS-232 or IR: Port A (RS-232) and Port B (IR).
The Front Panel screen appears in the main panel (

) and contains a diagram
representing the front panel of your selected MLC, along with other controls for
the MLC front panel. (If this screen appears blank when the window is opened,
click on the name of the MLC device configuration in the left panel to display it.)
In the title bar, the project name is shown as “Unnamed Project*.” (The asterisk
following the name indicates that the project has not been saved since changes
were made.)
Three tabs provide access to controls that you will use to configure the MLC 55
(see the configuration program help file for explanations of their contents):
Front Panel — Configure the front panel buttons and assign all commands
to them.
Port Configuration — Select and configure the port to which the display
device or switcher will be connected.
Advanced Configuration — Adjust parameters for inactivity periods,
powering on and off, and volume adjustment.
7. Save and name a project as follows:
a. From the File menu, select Save As... .
b. In the Save As dialog box, give your project file a name and save it to the desired
location on your computer.
NOTE: Your project is saved as a file with the extension .mlp.
You are now ready to create configurations for your MLC device by specifying parameters
for its ports and buttons (see the configuration program help file for procedures).

For instructions on creating configurations using the program, see the MLC 55, 62
and 64 Series Configuration Program Help File. You can access the help file when the
configuration program is open using any of the following methods:
From the Help menu, select MLC 55, 62 and 64 Series Configuration Program
