NOTE: Do not use the spacer when mounting the MLC to a mud ring as this can
prevent the faceplate from lying flat against the mounting surface.
1. Cut a hole in the mounting surface large enough for the provided mounting
bracket (one-gang size for the MLC 55 RS, two-gang size for the
MLC 55 RS VC). The cutout dimensions are:
MLC 55 RS (one-gang): 2.16" W x 3.88" H (5.49 cm W x 9.85 cm H)
MLC 55 RS VC (two-gang): 4.06" W x 3.75" H (10.31 cm W x 9.52 cm H)
2. Insert the mud ring into the hole.
3. Turn the screws on the mud ring so that the locking arms rotate behind the mounting
surface until they clamp securely to it. Do not overtighten.
4. Run the cables through the mounting bracket.
5. Remove power from all devices, including the MLC, at the source, then connect all
cables to the MLC. Leave the power supply cable connected to the MLC.
6. Place the MLC onto the mud ring so that the screw holes at the top and bottom of
the MLC line up with the oval holes at the top and bottom of the bracket.
