Can't find the answer to your question in the manual? You may find the answer to your question in the FAQs about the Domyos VM 900 below.
As an adult, it is recommended to do moderately intensive exercise for at least 2.5 hours per week. Preferably spread over several days.
As a rule of thumb for your maximum heart rate, you can use 220 minus your age.
To adjust the resistance on your hometrainer, locate the resistance knob or button usually located near the handlebars. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the resistance and counterclockwise to decrease it. Start with a lower resistance and gradually increase it as you get more comfortable with your workout.
Proper posture is crucial for an effective and safe workout. Ensure that your back is straight, shoulders are relaxed, and core is engaged. Adjust the seat height so that your legs are comfortably extended, but not fully straight, when your feet are on the pedals. Keep a light grip on the handlebars and avoid slouching or leaning too far forward or backward.
The hometrainer may be equipped with heart rate sensors on the handlebars. Place your hands firmly on these sensors to measure your heart rate. Make sure your hands are dry for accurate readings. Alternatively, you can use a compatible heart rate monitor or wearable device synced with the hometrainer to monitor your heart rate wirelessly.
Prior to using the hometrainer, it is advisable to perform a warm-up routine to prepare your muscles for exercise. This can include light stretching, jogging in place, or cycling at a low intensity for a few minutes. After your workout, cool down by gradually reducing the intensity and speed of your cycling for a few minutes, followed by gentle stretching to relax your muscles.
The hometrainer might have an electronic display that provides various workout metrics such as time, distance, speed, and calories burned. Use these metrics to monitor your performance and progress over time. Additionally, you can manually note down your workout details after each session, including the duration, distance covered, resistance level, and any personal observations, to create a log for assessing your progress and setting future goals.
