Hello, I would like to ask about the Denon AVR-X2500H receiver. How do I connect it to the TV in a home theater style, using HDMI? Or do I need an optical cable? Also, if you could illustrate with photos exactly what and where to connect, I would greatly appreciate it. Everything was working fine until the internet guy came and replaced the router, messing up everything. Thank you.

I want to connect 2 - 8ohm speakers per side for the back surround. Should I connect them in parallel or series?

I recently purchased and set up the AVR-X2500H. I watched my first movie from Apple TV (John Wick 3) and noticed that the back surround was not working. It clearly worked when I was setting up the speakers with Audyssey and I have double checked the connections again. Also on the Denon app all but the back surround speakers are highlighted when I am playing the movie. Is the version of the movie I'm watching not compatible with my surround set up or is there something that I missed in the set up.

I have my subwoofer connected to the pre-out jack via rca cables but there is no sound from the sub. The speaker test makes a low grumble (to be expected) but no music sound or additional base sound when music is played from any source. Is there a volume control for the pre-out function. Sub is a powered Polk Audio unit,
