Controlling A Camera 2
Select [View] → [Camera Control] in the menu bar. The [Camera Control ] panel appears.

Click [Get Control] in the [Camera Control] panel. Once you have the camera control, all the buttons in
the [Camera Control ] panel become active.
F or details, see "Chapter 5 Viewer Ref erence" in the Administrator's Manual .
If you ha ve the camera control and do not mak e any changes f or 30
seconds, a message appears sa ying "Control will be lost in 10 seconds".
Y ou will then lose the control if it is left f or another 10 seconds.
T o control a camera while it is recording, check with the administrator and
re view the procedure bef orehand.
Playing Recorded Video 1
Click a video window of the camera you want to play. 3
Click the time you want to play. The recor ded video appears in the selected video window .

Click and drag the time bar to the left or right to change the playback time. 1

Click [Jump to Time]. The [Jump T o Time] dialog box
appears.

Select a date and time and click [OK]. The recor ded video appears in the
selected video window .
If a message appears sa ying "Can't get
camera control", system administration
privileges of other View ers of tools ma y
be controlling the camera. Contact the
administrator .
Depending on your camer a, some

Rewind and n udge back cannot be used when vie wing recorded MPEG-4 video . *MPEG-4 video cannot be recorded with VK-Lite .
QuickTime v ersion 6.5.1 or later is recommended.
On Windows Vista, videos cannot be sav ed into the Program Files f older or Windows folder on the system driv e.
Jump to ne xt event
Y ou can use these controls to pla y , pause, re wind, f ast f orward, nudge
f orward or bac k and jump to the pre vious or ne xt e vent. Y ou can also
change the rewind and f ast forw ard speeds sequentially from 1x → 2x
→ 5x → 10x.
This button s witches the video display from recorded video bac k to live
video .
Y ou ca n s ave reco rde d v ide os to any loc ati on in .mov for mat .
The sav ed videos can then be viewed in Quic kTime Play er or any other
pla yer that supports the .mov format.

These controls change the le vel of detail sho wn in the timeline.
[Zoom In] T o view the timeline in more detail.
[Zoom Out] T o view the entire timeline at once .

Pan (left/right) and Tilt (up/down) These controls mov e the PT camera in the
direction of the arrows .
P an and tilt either by briefly clicking an arrow , or
by clic king and holding the arrow .
Zoom
Click and dr ag the zoom slider to z oom in or out.
Pan/Tilt/Zoom speed Set the camera pan/tilt, and zoom speed.

Click a video window for the camera you want to control. [Preset ] Choose one of preset positions from a list.
