Recording Movies

1) Start recording.

Press the movie button. The camera
beeps once as recording begins, and
[ Rec] is displayed with the elapsed
time (1).
Black bars are displayed on the top and
bottom edges of the screen, and the
subject is slightly enlarged. The black
bars indicate image areas not recorded.
Frames displayed around any detected
faces indicate that they are in focus.
Once recording begins, take your nger
off the movie button.

2) Finish recording.

Press the movie button again to stop
recording. The camera beeps twice as
recording stops.

Compose the shot.

To zoom in and enlarge the subject, move
the zoom lever toward [ ] (telephoto),
and to zoom away from the subject, move
it toward [ ] (wide angle).

Shoot.

Shooting Still Images

1) Focus.

Press the shutter button lightly, halfway
down. The camera beeps twice after
focusing, and frames are displayed to
indicate image areas in focus.

2) Shoot.

Press the shutter button all the way
down.
As the camera shoots, a shutter sound
is played, and in low-light conditions, the
ash res automatically.
Keep the camera still until the shutter
sound ends.
After displaying your shot, the camera will
revert to the shooting screen.

I was taking a photo in the bright sunshine and may have hit something - now each photo I take makes 5 additional photos of strange colors. I tried to add 3 of the photos but only one seems to have copied. How do I turn off this option?

To disable the feature that takes 5 additional photos of strange colors when you take a photo in bright sunshine, follow these steps: Press the [ ] button to access the menu. Choose the [Flash Settings] option on the [ ] tab. Press the [ ] button to confirm. Set the [Red-Eye Lamp] option to [Off]. Press the [ ] button to confirm. To restore the original setting, repeat the above steps but choose [On] in step 4.
