It is best to gently pull the paper out of the printer. Turn the printer off, and make sure that the printhead is not hanging over the paper and that no paper remains in the printer.
Non-genuine cartridges may not be recognised by the printer. In that case you will receive a message that the cartridge is empty. The manual of the purchased cartridge usually contains the solution, if this does not work, it is advisable to contact the seller.
There can be various reasons for poor print quality. Check if the cartridges or toners are full. If so, inkjet printers often require cleaning the printer, the cartridges have dried out, or the print head is broken. With laser printers, calibrating the laser printer is recommended.
A laser printer prints with a toner and an inkjet printer prints with ink.
In most cases, the inkjet printer cartridge is broken and the cartridge needs to be replaced.
DPI stands for Dots Per Inch and is the number of ink droplets (per inch) that end up on the paper when printing.
Ensure that the printer is connected properly to a power source and that all cables are securely plugged in. Check if there are any error messages on the printer's display panel or on your computer. Make sure the printer has sufficient paper and ink/toner. Clean the print heads and run a nozzle check to identify any clogged nozzles.
Turn off the printer and unplug it. Open all trays and paper paths, and carefully remove any jammed paper. Make sure there are no small pieces of torn paper left inside. Check for any foreign objects or debris in the paper path and remove them if found. Reset the printer, reload paper properly, and try again.
Ensure that you are using the recommended paper type and size for your print job. Clean the printhead nozzles using the printer's maintenance menu, which can usually be accessed through the control panel or printer software. Align the printhead for optimal print quality. If the problem persists, try replacing the ink cartridges or toner.
Each error code signifies a specific issue. Refer to the user manual for a list of error codes and their meanings. Once you have identified the error code, try turning off the printer, unplugging it, and waiting for a few minutes before turning it back on. If the error persists, contact Canon customer support for further assistance.
Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device. Access the printer's settings menu from the control panel or printer software, and navigate to the wireless setup options. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Once connected, install the necessary printer drivers and software on your computer or mobile device to enable wireless printing.
